"THE LAWFUL AND PROHIBITED IN ISLAAM"

The Da'eef Ahaadeeth in "The Lawful and Prohibited in Islaam" By Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi according to the checking of Shaykh Muhammad Nasser-ad-Deen Al-Albaanee Rahimullah From his book "Ghayatul Maram"

1. P.15 2nd Hadeeth
Salman al-Farsi reported that when Allaah's Messenger was asked about..............he replied, the Halaal is that which Allaah has made lawful in His book.................and that concerning which He is silent He has permitted as a favour to you.

2. P.15 3rd Hadeeth
The Prophet also said: Allaah has prescribed certain obligations for you, so do not neglect them; He has defined certain limits so do not transgress them; ........................do not ask questions concerning them.

3. P.21 2nd Hadeeth
The Prophet characterized his message by saying: I have been sent with what is straight and easy.

4. P.29 1st Hadeeth
The Prophet said: Do not do what the Jews did in order (technically) legalize Allaah's prohibitions by flimsy excuses.

5. P.30 2nd Hadeeth
The Prophet said: A time will come when people will
Devour usury calling it `trade'.
Note: This Ahaadeeth is mentioned in Ighathat al-Lahfan vol.1 p.352 and not by Bukhaaree and Muslim which is what is mentioned in the footnote No.2 on p.304 "The lawful and prohibited in Islam" Ghayatul Maram No.13.

6. P.31 2nd Hadeeth
He said: Anyone who desires what is permissible from the world keeping himself away from sins, working for the sake of his family, and taking care of his neighbour will meet his Lord with a face shining like the full moon.

7. P.32 2nd Hadeeth
He also said: If anyone a masses wealth through Haram means and then gives charity from it, there is no regard for him and the burden of sin remains. Reported by Ibn Hibban (no.797), Hakim (390/1) & Ibn Khuzaimah, Ghayatul Maram No.18.

8. P.32 3rd Hadeeth
He said: If a person earns property through means and then gives charity, it will not be accepted (by Allaah), if he.......................And unclean thing does not wipe away another unclean thing.

The Prophet said: The objects to make it bleed with whatever you have and mention the name of Allaah over it.

11. P.57 3rd Hadeeth
Narrated by Ibn Umar Radhiallaahoo`anhoo, the Prophet said:
When one of you slaughters, let him complete it.

12. P.62 1st Hadeeth
The Prophet said: Treat them as you treat the People of the Book. Reported by Maalik & as-Sha`fee, Ghayatul Maram no. 43.

13. P.64 1st Hadeeth
The Prophet said: If someone kills a sparrow for sport, the sparrow will cry out on the Day of Judgment "O Lord! That person killed me in vain! He did not kill me for any useful purpose."

14. P.65 1st Hadeeth
He said: Whoever kills a sparrow or anything bigger than that without just cause, Allaah will hold him accountable on the Day of Judgement. The listeners asked O Messenger of Allaah; what is a just cause? He replied that he killed it to eat, not simply chop of its head and then throw it away.

15. P.66 2nd Hadeeth
He said: Do not eat what is killed by a banduqah unless you slaughter it.

16. P.73 3rd Hadeeth: Da'eef Jiddan (Very weak)
A Ahaadeeth states: If some one stockpiles grapes during harvest time and holds them in order to sell them to a Jew or..............................who produces khamr, he will be leaping into the fire with his eyes open.

17. P.73 (cont. on page 74) 4th Hadeeth
It is reported that a man brought a cask of wine to the Prophet as a gift. The Prophet informed him that Allaah had prohibited it `Shall I not sell it?' asked the man. `The One who prohibited .................Has also prohibited selling it' replied the Prophet. `Shall I ...................' `Pour it on the ground,' the Prophet replied.

18. P.75 2nd Hadeeth
He said: Allaah has sent down the disease and the cure, and for every disease there is a cure. So take medicine but do not use anything Haram as medicine.

19. P.80 2nd Hadeeth
It is reported that the Prophet said: Cleanse yourself, for Islam is cleanliness.

20. P.81 1st Hadeeth: Da'eef Jiddan
Cleanliness invites towards faith, and faith leads its possessor to the garden.

21. P.81 2nd Hadeeth @@@@@
He said to him: Is not this better than that one should come with disheveled hair, looking like a devil.

22. P.86 2nd Hadeeth
The Prophet has mentioned the man whom Allaah has made male but who becomes effeminate by imitating women and a woman whom Allaah has made a female but who becomes masculinized by imitating men.

23. P.90 2nd narration
`Aishah was asked: `What if a woman removes hair from her forehead to please her husband?' `Aishah replied, `Remove what is harmful from yourselves whenever possible.

24. P.92 3rd Hadeeth
The Prophet said: There is nothing wrong with tawamil.
Reported by Aboo Daawood (no.4171), Ghayatul Maram No.103.

25. P.94 2nd Hadeeth: Mawdoo` (fabricated)
........................................One should certainly trim it in both length and breadth.
This has been recommended in a hadith reported by Tirmidhi. Ghayatul Maram No.110.

26. P.96 2nd Hadeeth
He used to pray fervently, "O my Lord, forgive me my sin, make my house spacious, and bless me in my sustenance." He was asked "O messenger of Allaah, why do you.....................He replied, "Is anything left out?"

Alee ibn Aboo Taalib narrated: The Messenger of Allaah was attending a funeral and he said, `Who among you is capable of going to Madinah and leaving no idol unbroken, no grave unlevelled and no picture undefaced?'.................Anyone who returns to...............What was revealed to Muhammad.'

30. P.129 3rd Hadeeth
The Prophet said: If anyone plants a tree, patiently protects it, and looks after it until it bears fruit.................................

He said: An honest and trustworthy merchant will be with the martyrs on the Day of Resurrection.

He said: An honest and trustworthy merchant will be with the prophets, the truthful and the martyrs.

33. P.142 1st Hadeeth
He said: Merchants will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection as wicked people, with the exception of those who fear Allaah, and do righteous deeds and are truthful.

He would say: Merchants beware of lying.

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet as saying: Woe to the rulers, the leaders and the trustees! On the Day of Resurrection some people will wish that .................................Rather than having had the burden of their responsibilities.

36. P.144 2nd Hadeeth
Anas narrated that the Prophet said: He who seeks the office of a judge...but for him who is compelled to accept it, Allaah sends an angel to guide him.

`Aishah Radhiallaahoo`anhoo said: At first the Messenger of Allaah prohibited people from going to public baths but later allowed men to enter them wearing a lower garment.

He said: Men must not enter them without a lower garment.

A girl came to the Prophet and informed him that her father had married her to her cousin against her wishes........................................ I am reconciled to what my father did but I wanted to make it known to women that fathers have no say in this matter.

O Allaah, this is my division in regard to what I can control.

Among those who occupy the worst position in the sight of Allaah on the Day of Resurrection is the man who has intercourse with his wife and she with him, and then he spreads her secret. Muslim, Aboo Daawood, Ghayatul Maram No.237.

Abu Hurairah narrated: Allaah's Messenger led us in prayer, and when he finished he turned towards us and said: 'Remain seated is............ There among you the man who comes to his wife, closes the door, and draws the curtain, and then goes out and speaks about it, saying `I did this and I did that with my wife?'..........Do you know what those who do this are like? ............ ...................Like a male and female devil who meet each other in the road satisfy their desire while the people look on. Do not kill your children secretly, for ghelah overtakes the ride and throws him from the horse.

It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allaah to allow anyone in her husband's house while he dislikes it. She should not go out of the house if he dislikes it and should not obey anyone who contradicts his orders. She should not refuse to share his bed. She should not beat him. 51. P.205 1st Hadeeth
There are three whose Salaat does not rise even a single span above their heads: a man leading a congregational prayer while the people hate him, a woman passing the night while her husband is angry with her, and two quarreling brothers.

66. P.244 3rd Hadeeth
Imran ibn Husain narrated that the Prophet saw a man wearing a
Brass bracelet on his arm and he said to him, `woe to you, what is this?' he replied, `to protect me from weakness.' The Prophet said: `indeed, this only increases your weakness. Throw it away, for if you die wearing it you will never attain success.' 67 P.246 2nd Hadeeth
Augury from drawing lines in the sand, and from the flight of birds, and from throwing stones pertains to shirk. (Aboo Daawod (3907), Nasaa'ee, Ibn Hibban (1426), Ghayatul Maram No.301)

No one is free of three things: suspicion, auguring evil omens and envy. Thus, if you have a suspicion, do not pursue it; if you augur an evil omen, do not turn back; and if you are envious do not transgress. (Tabaranee, Ghayatul Maram No.302)

He who calls others to group chauvinism does not belong to us he who fights for the sake of group chauvinism does not belong to us; and he who dies upholding chauvinism does not belong to us. (Aboo Daawood (5121), Ghayatul Maram No.304)

Wathilah bin al-Asq'a narrated, `I asked, `O Messenger of Allaah, what is chauvinism?' He replied, `That you should help your people in wrong doing.' Aboo Daawood (5119), Ghayatul Maram No.305.

These genealogies of yours are not a reason to revile anyone.
You are all children of Adam. No one has superiority over another except in religion and taqwa.

The Ummayad governor, Ubaidullah bin Ziyad came to visit M'aqal when he was bedridden due to a grave illness... I (M'aqal) heard the Messenger of Allaah say: `Whoever interferes with the prices of the Muslim goods in order to raise them deserves that Allaah should make him sit in the Fire on the Day or Resurrection.....'(Ahmad (27/5), Hakim (13-12/2), Ghayatul Maram No. 328.)

He who buys the stolen property, with the knowledge that it was stolen, shares in the sin and shame of stealing. (Baihaqee, Ghayatul Maram No.343.)

77. P.268 1st Hadeeth
O Allaah, I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and from the anger of men. Aboo Daawood (1555), Ghayatul Maram No.347.

78. P.268 2nd Hadeeth
`I seek refuge in you from sin and debt.' A man asked him, `Do You equate debt with unbelief?' He replied, `Yes.' (Nasaa'ee (316/2), Hakim (532/1), Ghayatul Maram No.348)

79. P.273 1st Hadeeth
Allaah's Hand is over two partners as long as one of them does not cheat the other, but when he cheats his partner, He withdraws it from both.

Hadeeth Qudsee: I make a third with two partners as long as one of them does not cheat the other, but when he cheats him I depart from them. (Aboo Daawood, Hakim)

Ibn Abbas Radhiallaahu'anhu said that the Prophet did not Prohibit share cropping but advised the owner and the cultivator to be considerate of each other.

He who pulls the curtain and looks into a house before he is

The most evil among Allaah's slaves are those who go about Spreading gossip dividing those who love each other and desiring to defame those who are innocent.

Order to defame him, Allaah will confine him in the fire of Hell unlit extinguishes his utterance.

92. P.322 2nd Hadeeth
`Aishah Radiallahu'anha reported that the Prophet said to his companions: `Do You know what the worst form of usury is in the sight of Allaah?' They said, `Allaah and His Messenger know best.' The Prophet replied: `The worst form of usury is the violation of personal honour of a Muslim.' He then recited, `Those who harm believing men and believing women undeservedly have laid upon themselves a calumny and a manifest sin' (33:58).

None of you should remain in a place where a man is being killed

Jaabir bin `Abdullaah narrated: Once we were with the Messenger

Ibn Abbas said: The people of the time of jahiliyyah ate certain foods and avoided others according to their whim. Then Allaah sent his prophet and revealed His book, and He legislated what is permissible and what is prohibited. Accordingly, what he permitted is Halaal, what he prohibited is Haraam, and that concerning which he is silent is allowed. Ibn Abbas then recited: "Say I do not find in what is revealed to me anything prohibited to an eater in his food." (6:145)
